docuSnippets Blog Updates - September 2023

I will regularly release blog posts after updates to keep you informed about what to do and what to look out for when updates are released. If you encounter issues with certain buttons not functioning, you can use try clearing your web browser's cache to see if that resolves the problem. You can also browse on private mode until caches are updated.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue related to the paragraph format generated after regenerating details in an AI response. Previously, when clicking buttons to expand the AI response with additional content, the formatting was not accurate. Now, the AI response is properly separated for easier copying (by clicking on the text), and you can still save it as snippets using the save icon.

New Features and Changes

Let's start with design updates. While I'm not a design expert, I'm committed to continually improving the website's visual appeal. I want to ensure it doesn't resemble some of the poorly designed EMRs we've all encountered.

Development notes:

  • Enhanced UI (user interface) to simplify the selection of note types.
  • You can now copy the entire section generated by the AI assistant using the clipboard icon next to the orange AI assistant's name.
  • Removed the copy icon after each paragraph/section. To copy individual paragraphs, simply click the text, and it will be copied to your clipboard.
  • Eliminated scrolling within the AI Assistant box section to make scrolling the entire page easier, especially on mobile devices.
  • You can now choose from additional note types to aid in your documentation, including interventions, goals, communication notes, assessments, and more, tailored to various healthcare professions.
  • Introduced note formats such as custom, SOAP, DAP, DAR. In custom mode, you can use checkboxes to select specific sections for AI note creation, or choose another format that suits your needs.
  • Simplified the process of saving snippets from an AI response. Snippet character/text limit has been increased from 350 to 1000 characters for added convenience.
  • We're introducing new note types for beta testing, and as always, we'll continue to update and refine them to provide the best results.

Roadmap

As a physical therapist assistant working in home health, I continually address bugs or user experience issues that I may come across. I'm always open to feedback, reach out if you have any special requests. You can reach me at support@docusnippets.com or use the chat box at https://www.docusnippets.com/chat/docuSnippets to leave me a message.

We plan to remove the ability to upvote and downvote snippets as it may not be as useful. As some users have suggested, it will be changed to a save button, allowing you to save snippets to your account. The new save feature will allow you to search your snippets by those you created or saved, and a dedicated tab will be available, similar to the current upvoted and downvoted sections.

AI responses will be automatically deleted after 30 days, unless they are made public to other users (a feature that will be introduced, along with the ability to search, and more)

Another upcoming feature is the ability to attach text notes when updating an AI response. For instance, when selecting the "more details" button, a form will pop up, allowing you to add specific instructions like "include an intervention about [something].”

We're also working on a feature to help you identify differences in text between your initial request and the AI response.

Down the Line

Currently, I'm restructuring some code to make documentation fine-tuning easier. We understand that sometimes the AI's level of detail doesn't align with your input, and we're actively working on improving this aspect.

We aim to make this HIPAA compliant for better tracking of patient data progress. Please consider sharing this software with anyone who may find it useful. We appreciate your support and are grateful for your use of docuSnippets services.

This is a new blogging format I'm experimenting with to keep you updated on the changes we make

Here's a sneak peek of a project I'm working on: a home exercise program created with AI... but as you can tell, there's a lot of work to be done.
